lorddimwit: Oh man, Conan the Barbarian. I remember getting that in a stack of anonymous floppies my parents bought from a thrift store and being completely mystified by it. It took me sooooooo long to beat it. Remember that level where you had to knock the chandelier down onto that thing that was spitting lightning and floating eyeballs at you? It took me forever to figure out what to do there.  
Of course, I was about 7 years old at the time.
Fluffy: I think I was in 7th grade when I played it on an Apple IIe. I recently emulated it a played it almost all the way through.

cornpone: i once made it to level thirty-something on galaga, however the trigger button was broken so i could fire as fast as i hit the button. most all arcade versions would fire two, pause, fire two, pause, etc..

clu: I went to high school with the creator's son. And technically speaking, his wife was my first music teacher. Around 3rd grade, everyone in my class room bought a cheap-o flute, and she came in and taught us how to play a couple of tunes.

FoolProof: That one hooked me bad. I played the shzt out of that game. I even started calling the big plaid chair in the basement my "pilot seat".
