Iran: Our Diminishing Options

There actually isn't any need to nuke them. Even though they have spread their nuclear program all over Iran and the U.S. could in one night take out the sites necessary to enrich and build. Knock out crucial steps in the process- no process.
We could bomb areas in Iran the way we did areas in Iraq for years before we went in.
We also have sanctions that can be imposed.
The Russians still hold the wild card. They could offer to enrich the uranium on their soil that Iran needs- that would stop any assault.
Still, the President of Iran seems to view diplomacy as a form of wrestling. This guy has said so many self destructive things you almost wonder if CIA has been writing his speeches to justify an attack!
No wonder there have been at least three attempts on his life in less than 6 months (that we know of).
His people killing him could stop the assault.
My own feeling? If the Russia solution or assassination don't work- you'll see airstrikes far beyond what happened in Iraq.
You'll see planes we haven't used since Nam, along with the newest weapons as well.
But, I also believe, there will be retaliations. Iran has been planting agents worldwide since the Clinton years. There will be retaliation.
